  1. As a customer and consumer, you purchase products for many reasons. Why do you typically buy a product? Is it cost, quality, company reputation, and social presence, or other factors?

I based my purchasing decisions on the product cost and quality. I purchase as long as the price seems right for its quality.

If I am satisfied with its usage and quality, then they will earn my loyalty. So, every time I repurchase, I expect consistency of the quality and a freebie if I ordered in bulk. If I don’t receive the same quality, I will never order from that shop again.

Yes, I am loyal to particular brands like EO, Realme, and Mobile Legends.

  1. Are you swayed to purchase based on consumer reward programs? Name a customer reward program you participate in?

Yes, if at that time, I need it or I cannot let it pass because the price is worthy of the quality.

I participated in using Puregold Perks Card. Each point earned can be converted into cash.

Yes, there are companies that I trust, like Puregold, EO, Realme, and Purefoods.

They will gain my allegiance if I am satisfied with its use and quality. So, if I repurchase, I expect the same level of quality and, if I order in quantity, a freebie. I will never order from that shop again if the quality does not match.

In my opinion, the quality control and the CRM are important for building trust.

Nowadays, the internet has expended the customer experience and exposure to product. The companies and the customers are facing some challenges such as easy to spread rapidly the positive reviews and risk of negative publicity.

  2. I’m not. I like to try other brands as much as I can. I might find something better.
  3. Not at all. I only like free shipping or discounts. Participating in reward programs sometimes take a lot of hassle and cost.

Sometimes, there are parcels getting mishandled, or customers who doesn’t claim their orders so they won’t pay. Trust is hard to earn with this platform especially there’s no actual interaction.

The challenge company faces in online purchasing is that their customers go on the reviews of other customers, also, they reach out to each other easily and that’s where the company faces the loss. Not every customer is going to give an excellent review. Before reaching to the CSR the customer directly talks to other customer. And the customer faces problems when there is any issue, sometimes they get the wrong product, the extra shipping charges and sometimes return procedures. Sometimes it becomes risky for customers to buy online. Although its, not always bad. You just need proper review and a professional guide to guide you through.

Quality is the no. one factor why I purchase a product. In some cases, I base my purchase on the company’s reputation simply because the satisfaction I received from previous usage.

To a great extent, I am loyal to particular brands. This is because of the fact that I used the products and got satisfied with the quality overtime.

No. I do not purchase based on consumer reward programs because sometimes, these reward programs come with ulterior motives that exposes you to losing more that you have gained.

Yes. I believe in and trust a company whose product I have used in the past and got satisfied with the quality. I have to do this if I have experienced consistency in the company’s products over and over again. For me, this saves my time as against having to deal with products that do not offer exactly what they have on the label.

It is important for companies to build trust because that will strengthen their customer loyalty base. In this case, the company will focus more on acquiring new customers, instead of trying had to still convince existing customers.
