Data Driven Decisions

  • Think about the decisions you make in your work or personal life. How could having more data help you make better decisions? What kind of data would you need?
  • How would you balance your own intuition and data to make better decisions?

Reflecting the decisions on my last job as a teller at a bank, I would say that having more data could’ve helped me make better decisions because as a new teller I did make mistakes. The kind of data I would need would’ve been more useful knowledge on the tests and videos that was provided. It was mandatory for us to watch short videos and take tests regarding bank knowledge. However, there were small catches that was know taught in the lessons, rather it was lessons learned from other coworkers. To make better decisions, I would definitely ask more questions than to assume.
