If you were implementing an ERP system, in which cases would you be more inclined to modify the ERP to match your business processes? What are the drawbacks of doing this? Do some independent research to support your conclusions.

If I was implementing an ERP system, I would be more inclined to modify the ERP to match my business processes in the case that it would make a significant difference of results or accelerate the decision making process of my business in order to give me a competitive advantage. The drawbacks of this could possibly be that the modification of such process does not function as it was meant to or complicates even more the process thus making it of less effect and negatively affecting previous accomplishments and projects of the business.

When implementing an ERP system, you may be more inclined to modify the ERP to match your business processes if:
