This post is In response to the question concerning Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability, the Security Triad. One thing that I have encountered through my years of doing accounting and payroll is that payroll is an area where all three of the Triad components are needed. In most business environs payroll confidentiality is a must. Employee A doesn’t need to know how much Employee B makes. The payroll information needs to retain integrity, sometimes over many years. The original information should bot be changed in any way. Third, if an employee record is needed years after the employee leaves a company, that information needs to be available to any relevant parties.
